The Medjugorje Pilgrimage Tour spends one week in the peaceful mountain hamlet where the Virgin Mary has been appearing since June 25, 1981. After arriving in Dubrovnik, Split, or Sarajevo, you will be met by a local guide from Medjugorje who will bring you back to his home village recounting the story of Our Lady’s first apparitions along the way. You will attend Mass and pray the Rosary daily with the villagers and other pilgrims from around the world at St. James Church.  During the Medjugorje Pilgrimage Tour, you will have the opportunity to climb Apparition Hill where Our Lady first appeared, and to make the Way of the Cross as you ascend Cross Mountain. Your guide for the Medjugorje Pilgrimage Tour will arrange for you to meet any of the visionaries who are in the village at the time and to hear young men from the Cenacolo community share their stories of conversion and witness to the healing power of Faith. It is said that Our Lady invites all her Children to Medjugorje to lead them to a closer relationship with Her Son, Jesus, and to exhort us to Pray for Peace in our hearts, in our homes, and in our communities. For more information regarding Medjugorje itself, consult the Official Medjugorje website here.  Book your Medjugorje Pilgrimage Tour today.

Day 3 to 8Medjugorje

During your stay, you will experience the beauty and peace of this simple village, and have the opportunity to share your faith with pilgrims from all over the world. Here are some of the activities planned for the week:

Daily Mass: Each morning, at 10:00am (noon on Sunday), the group will assemble at St. James Church for Mass and the blessing of religious articles immediately following.

Climb Apparition Hill
: Recite the Rosary while climbing the hill to the place where the visionaries first allegedly encountered Our Lady.

Climb Mt. Krizevac (Cross Mountain)
: In 1933, the villagers built a 30′ high cross atop a mountain to commemorate Jesus’ passion and death on the cross. Climb to the top, stopping 14 times along the way to rest and Pray the Stations of the Cross.

: Join the villagers and fellow pilgrims in praying the Rosary in St. James Church at 5:00pm (6:00pm Daylight Savings Time), and stay for the alleged apparition of Our Lady to the visionaries at 5:40pm (6:40pm
Daylight Savings Time). Stay for the Croatian Mass the Blessing of the Sick immediately following.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
: Our Lady has always called us to be close to Her Son. Join fellow pilgrims for Adoration on Tuesday and Saturday at the outside altar of St. James Church, and for Veneration of the Cross on Friday inside the church. Adoration is also available in the Chapel every afternoon.

Meetings with the Visionaries
: Pending their availability, the guide will arrange meetings with the visionaries.

Visit to the Community of Cenacolo
: Founded by the Sisters of Charity, Cenacolo is a community for young men and women who have lost their way in life, and are on the road to recovery. We will hear their inspirational words about their journeys back to Jesus Christ.

Prayer at the Statue of the Risen Christ
: Pray at the bronze statue located on the grounds of St. James Church, and witness the droplets of water that miraculously seep out of Christ’s right knee.

Day 9Medjugorje - USA

After an early breakfast, you will leave by motorcoach for Dubrovnik Airport (Spilt or Sarajevo) for your return flights home.

I just returned from a Catholic Journeys tour of Croatia and Bosnia. The highlight was 5 days in Medjugorje. This place truly lives ‘peace on earth’. Accomodations were superb and our tour guide, Evo, was outstanding. This has been my fourth trip with Catholic Journeys and I have been more than satisfied with all aspects of the trip. They are so professional and caring. I highly recommend them for a pilgrimage.

My trip was life-changing. It was a perfect pilgrimage. While there was no shortage of moving inspirational and faith-filled experiences, there was also fun and laughter and silliness. The added day trips to Dubrovnik and Zagreb were also nice because it added a bit of “vacation” to the pilgrimage as well. I felt blessed to be able to meet and stay with Marjana. She is the most humble person I’ve ever met and an inspiration. We were also lucky enough to witness one of Ivan’s apparitions and say the rosary with him as well. The MIR group did an amazing job of providing many many opportunities for us to grow in faith, from private masses to speakers to tours. My 19-year-old daughter traveled on the trip with me, and I was particularly moved by how much effort was put into making it a “youth-friendly” pilgrimage. I wish I could have had the rest of my family with me. I hope to go again.

The Medjugorje pilgrimage was wonderful…we hated to leave!! First, it was an unforgettable spiritual experience – there are no words to accurately describe that. Second, everything was so well arranged for us; from the accommodations, transfers, daily schedules, and wonderful optional tours, we felt there was a very good balance of time between activity and reflection. The food was wonderful and we are especially thankful that our dietary requests were fully accommodated. We do not eat meat, which often poses a problem if there is a fixed meal/no menu to choose from. But our host Ivicka asked about food preferences the day we arrived and his family provided fish for our evening entrees. So thank you especially for that.
Cannot say enough about the superb job done by our guide Andrew Moulds, our host Ivicka and also all the local guides and drivers. Their organization, hard work, and caring made everything fall into place seamlessly.
We appreciate you too, Jimmy!! You were always courteous and responsive to us during the planning stages. We understand how difficult it must be to plan a trip like this and field so many questions and requests!!

Oh my. I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing this spiritual journey was for me. I couldn’t get over the outpouring of so many Christians gathered together believing in God.
My personal experience was awesome and it gave me hope that the world (although deteriorating as time goes by) isn’t hopeless.
Ivica and his family were amazing. Their food was delicious the planning of things to do and just their kindness was unforgettable!
I knew some of the folks from my parish including Father Frankie who we all love. But I also met some new people that I’m so happy to have met.
Now my favorite person is Andrew who came in place of his grandmother who works for you guys. She sounds like an amazing lady and I can see why she has such an awesome grandkid.
I am extremely happy with the way everything went down from the planning to receiving our backpack full of everything we would need to our flights all being on time and more importantly our luggage arriving with us.
Thanks again for everything and I hope to travel with you guys again in the future.
God Bless
