Terms and Conditions for Participation



Round-trip international airfare; Transfers from airports, hotels, and piers; Porterage of one suitcase; Air-conditioned motorcoach transportation; Hotel accommodations (first class, deluxe, or superior tourist) based on double occupancy; Breakfast and dinner daily unless designated otherwise; Admission to all sites and sightseeing as outlined in the tour itinerary; Services of a CatholicJourneys.com representative at each destination; Services of licensed English-speaking tour guides and drivers.


(1) Optional Travel Insurance Protection Plan (Information will be sent separately).

(2) Checked Baggage and Excess Baggage Fees which may be imposed by airlines, if applicable, will be paid by the passenger.

(3) Miscellaneous fees such as individual transfers, passports, laundry, meal beverages, excess baggage, and other items of personal nature.

(4) Appreciation offerings to tour guides and drivers.

(5) Visa fees if necessary and if not included in the tour price.

(6) Airline Imposed Fees for Seat Assignment and/or Seat Upgrade if applicable will be paid by the passenger.


Air transportation will be via jet economy class via IATA carriers utilizing APEX or SUPER APEX non-refundable, non-amendable tickets. All flight times are subject to change by the airlines without advance notice. CatholicJourneys.com is not responsible for such changes or delays and does not reimburse expenses resulting from such delays.


Catholic Journeys will protect your reservation and will guarantee your price, provided that your deposit is received and that you adhere to the following payment schedule :


(1) Non-refundable $500 deposit is required with the completed application.  The deposit may be transferred to another Catholic Journeys pilgrimage if the customer notifies Catholic Journeys via email no less than 90 days before departure.

(2) Balance of fees is due 90 days prior to departure. Anyone not paid in full 80 days prior to departure will be subject to a $150 late fee per traveler and possible automatic cancellation and penalties.


Price is based on double occupancy. Single rooms will be arranged, if available, for an additional supplement. Single rooms are normally smaller than doubles. CatholicJourneys.com will endeavor to match roommates but will not guarantee this.


Price is based on a minimum of 15 passengers traveling together. Price is subject to a possible increase if the total number of passengers falls below a minimum of 15 passengers.


Deviations from the standard tour program must be submitted in writing and are subject to a $150.00 per person assessment fee plus additional costs. Transfers for passengers who deviate are not included.

  • $ 500.00 From the Day of Registration to 91 Days before departure.  The deposit may be transferred to another Catholic Journeys pilgrimage if the customer notifies Catholic Journeys via email no less than 90 days before departure.
  • 50% of the total cost from 90 Days to 46 Days before departure
  • No Refund from 45 Days to 1 Day before departure

On or after the day of departure, no refund for any service not used. All refund claims must be received in writing by the CatholicJourneys.com office. Additionally, once tickets are issued the ticket value is non-refundable. Refunds for payments made by credit card are subject to an additional 3.5% fee. Cancellation by Group Leader or Spiritual Director will not be a valid reason for Cancellation by the Passenger.


CatholicJourneys.com agrees to provide the itinerary described in this brochure, no changes or deviations to the itinerary are effective unless approved in writing and signed by an authorized officer of the tour operator. Except as stated herein, no person is authorized to cancel, modify or vary the tour arrangements or to make any representation or warranty concerning the tour. CatholicJourneys.com reserves the right to refuse or revoke travel to anyone who is, in the sole judgment of CatholicJourneys.com, incapable of group travel without causing undue demands upon the staff or other tour participants.

Except where otherwise stated, CatholicJourneys.com acts only as an agent for the relevant supplier in securing hotels, transportation, and other travel services, and in no event shall CatholicJourneys.com be liable for failure by any such supplier to render any transportation, lodging, or other travel services to be provided on the pilgrimage tour.

The passenger agrees that CatholicJourneys.com assumes no liability for injury, death, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity which may occur by reason of any negligent or willful act or omission of any suppliers of service. CatholicJourneys.com does not own or operate any of the suppliers of services to your tour. Similarly, without limiting the foregoing, the passenger agrees to hold CatholicJourneys.com harmless for any defect in any vehicle, plane, boat, bus, car, van, or other vehicles, the act of war or insurrection, terrorist activity, revolt, or other civil uprisings, military action, strikes or labor unrest or any Act of God or for any other act of any third party.

CatholicJourneys.com does not accept responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes in air schedules, hotel overbookings, or other hotel-related problems or other causes. All such losses or expenses will be the responsibility of the passenger. The right is reserved to make adjustments to the itinerary as deemed desirable to CatholicJourneys.com and the right is reserved to cancel any tour prior to departure. CatholicJourneys.com may not be held responsible for any loss or damage to luggage during the tour program. Enrollment in, payment of a deposit, and/or acceptance of final documents, vouchers, or tickets shall be deemed to be consent to the Program Conditions and Statement of Responsibility. Prices are based on tariffs in effect as of October 7, 2019, and are subject to increase or adjustment without notice in the event of any exchange rate, or currency fluctuation.

It is agreed by and between the passenger and CatholicJourneys.com that all disputes and matters whatsoever arising under, or in connection with, or incident to the responsibilities of CatholicJourneys.com shall be litigated in and before a court located in the State of Louisiana, the USA to the exclusion of the courts of any other state or country. Louisiana law will be applicable to any dispute which arises out of/or concerns this brochure or your tour.
