Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”, “Terms of Use”) carefully before using the catholicjourneys.com website (the “Service”) operated by Catholic Journeys (“us”, “we”, or “our”). Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Catholic Journeys and its licensors. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of any content from this website is prohibited.

Booking and Payment

All pilgrimage bookings are processed through our booking platform at checkfront.com. By completing a booking, you agree to the following terms:

• A non-refundable deposit of $500 per person is required at the time of registration. This deposit may be transferred to another Catholic Journeys pilgrimage if Catholic Journeys is notified in writing no less than 90 days before departure.
• The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to departure. Accounts not paid in full 80 days prior to departure are subject to a $150 late fee per traveler and possible automatic cancellation.
• Tour pricing is based on a minimum of 15 passengers. Prices are subject to adjustment if total enrollment falls below this minimum.
• Prices are based on double occupancy. Single room supplements are available for an additional fee, subject to availability.
• Tour prices are subject to change due to currency fluctuations or other factors beyond our control.

What Is Included and Not Included

Tour prices generally include round-trip international airfare, airport and hotel transfers, motorcoach transportation, hotel accommodations, daily breakfast and dinner (unless otherwise noted), admission to sites as outlined in the tour itinerary, and the services of a Catholic Journeys representative and licensed English-speaking guides and drivers.

Tour prices generally do not include travel insurance, checked or excess baggage fees, passport and visa fees, personal expenses, meal beverages, appreciation offerings to guides and drivers, airline seat assignment or upgrade fees, or any other items of a personal nature. Cancellation and Refund Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Catholic Journeys office. The following cancellation fees apply:

• From the date of registration through 91 days before departure: Forfeiture of the $500 deposit. The deposit may be transferred to another Catholic Journeys pilgrimage if Catholic Journeys is notified by email no less than 90 days before departure.
• 90 to 46 days before departure: 50% of the total tour cost is forfeited.
• 45 days to 1 day before departure: No refund.
• On or after the day of departure: No refund for any unused services.

Please note that once airline tickets are issued, the ticket value is non-refundable. Refunds for payments made by credit card are subject to an additional 3.5% processing fee. Cancellation by a group leader or spiritual director does not constitute a valid reason for cancellation by an individual passenger.

Travel Insurance

Catholic Journeys strongly recommends that all travelers purchase travel insurance to protect against unforeseen events such as flight delays, baggage loss, illness, or injury. We offer a Travelex Insurance Services protection plan for your convenience. Coverage terms, limitations, and exclusions are detailed in the insurance policy documentation provided separately. Travel insurance is underwritten by Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Company (NAIC #22276). Travelex Insurance Services, Inc., CA Agency License #0D10209.

Airline and Itinerary Changes

Air transportation is provided via jet economy class through IATA carriers utilizing non-refundable, non-amendable APEX or Super APEX tickets. All flight times are subject to change by airlines without advance notice. Catholic Journeys is not responsible for such changes or delays and does not reimburse expenses resulting from delays.

Catholic Journeys reserves the right to make adjustments to tour itineraries as needed and to cancel any tour prior to departure. Any changes or deviations from the standard tour program must be submitted in writing and are subject to a $150 per person assessment fee plus any additional costs incurred.

Statement of Responsibility

Catholic Journeys acts as an agent for hotels, airlines, transportation providers, and other travel service suppliers. In no event shall Catholic Journeys be liable for the failure of any such supplier to render services included in the tour.

The passenger agrees that Catholic Journeys assumes no liability for injury, death, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity arising from any act or omission of third-party service providers; any defect in any vehicle, vessel, or other conveyance; acts of war, insurrection, terrorism, civil unrest, or military action; labor strikes or unrest; or any Act of God or other circumstances beyond our control.

Catholic Journeys does not accept responsibility for losses or additional expenses resulting from flight schedule changes, hotel overbookings, or other causes outside our control. All such costs are the responsibility of the passenger.

Catholic Journeys reserves the right to refuse or revoke travel for any individual who, in our sole judgment, is incapable of participating in group travel without placing undue demands on staff or other tour participants.

Enrollment in a tour, payment of a deposit, and/or acceptance of final documents, vouchers, or tickets constitutes agreement to these Terms and the Statement of Responsibility.

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Catholic Journeys. Catholic Journeys has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. We strongly advise you to review the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms or your pilgrimage tour shall be litigated exclusively before a court located in the State of Louisiana. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service and supersede any prior agreements.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days’ notice before the new terms take effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, please stop using the Service.
