Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Guadalupe

The Our Lady of Guadalupe Pilgrimage tour offers a journey to Mexico without the jet lag associated with traveling to Europe or the Holy Land. Mexico City is home to some of the most beautiful churches and shrines in the Americas. During the Our Lady of Guadalupe Pilgrimage tour, pilgrims will spend a day at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Patroness and Empress of the Americas, starting with Mass in the modern Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, where the miraculous image on the Tilma of St. Juan Diego is displayed above the main altar. Our expert Catholic guide will narrate how Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to St. Juan Diego, and you’ll have the chance to view the image up close on a moving walkway. You’ll see the original chapel built on Our Lady’s apparition site atop the hill behind the basilica, known as Tepeyac. While in Mexico City, you’ll also visit Santa Maria Tulpetlac, known as the Church of the Healing, the site of Our Lady’s fifth apparition and where St. Juan Diego’s uncle was healed.

Additionally, the Our Lady of Guadalupe Pilgrimage tour will include visits to the Metropolitan Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in Latin America, and the National Palace, both located in the main square, the Zocalo. You’ll also attend Mass at the Holy Family Church, praying at the tomb of Blessed Miguel Agustin Pro, the Jesuit martyr. The pilgrimage will travel to Puebla to explore St. Dominic’s Church, its magnificent chapel dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary, and the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, where you can see the incorrupt body of the Franciscan friar Blessed Sebastian of Aparicio. Of course, no tour of Mexico would be complete without a visit to the pyramids of San Juan Teotihuacan. You’ll see the Sun and Moon pyramids here and enjoy a Mexican lunch at a nearby restaurant. This Catholic Mexico pilgrimage tour is perfect for individuals, couples, families, or groups. Book your Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico today for 2026 or 2027!

We went recently to Mexico City for Our Lady of Guadalupe pilgrimage. Super duper, it was!! It was everything we wanted, and more. The size of the group was perfect. Very nice not being in a herd. Lovely hotel and none of our meals disappointed.
Our guide, Francisco, was superb. We are the sort of folk that like in depth info. etc., he delivered it. He took his time, was responsive to every question, explained everything thoroughly, and, ‘ talked ‘ to you. That , is the most important part of being a guide. I talked to him on the side many times. He was very interactive. A real pleasure. The sites we saw were varied. We learned very much about many things. Fr. Peter was a great priest. A joy, having him as our spiritual guide. He was one of the group, blended, right in. Our driver, Eduardo, was amazing! He could drive that bus thru a keyhole! We are referring you to our friends.
Have a great year!

It was a wonderful experience to be part of this pilgrimage. It was more rewarding to me that it took place during the week of Ash Wednesday. I was very amazed and impressed with the number of people who came to receive ashes in the various churches we visited on that day.
One other thing that amazes me is the many huge churches in Mexico, almost comparable to the size of churches in Rome. It made sense to me that at some point, public revenue was no longer sent to Spain, as a result of sea piracy; and that they were instead used to erect the churches.
It is approaching five hundred years since the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and her influence is still very much felt all over the country of Mexico. This pilgrimage was a great journey and I can not wait to lead another journey with more pilgrims to other regions with Catholic Journeys.

Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe (March 9–14, 2026)

I had the privilege of serving as the Spiritual Director for this pilgrimage, joining the group on March 10. Each day was centered on prayer, the celebration of Holy Mass, and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, creating a deeply meaningful spiritual experience for all.

Highlights of the journey included our visit to Puebla, where we prayed the Rosary en route and celebrated Mass upon arrival, and our final day at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. There, we joined another pilgrimage group for Mass and later prayed the Stations of the Cross in observance of Lent—a truly moving experience.

The pilgrimage was very well organized, with excellent accommodations, enjoyable meals, and a knowledgeable and attentive guide who ensured everything ran smoothly.

Most importantly, the spiritual fruits of the journey were evident. I had the blessing of hearing several confessions, including one pilgrim returning to the sacrament after many years. It was a beautiful reminder of the grace and renewal that pilgrimages bring. We returned home spiritually enriched, refreshed, and inspired in our faith.

Our pilgrimage to Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico was a wonderful experience spiritually, culturally and historically.

Our guide, Raul, was absolutely outstanding. He is an excellent communicator with a thorough and vast knowledge of Mexican history and culture. His way of informing us about each historical and religious site was interesting and captivating. He was a caring and kind guide who went out of his way to make sure we were well informed and enjoying ourselves.

Our driver, Eduardo, was fantastic. He really knew how to navigate the roadways carefully and safely, even driving skillfully through rain and sleet.

The priest that accompanied us (Fr. Jude) was delightful, joy-filled and jovial…a deeply religious man of God who loved to laugh. The prayers, reflections and Masses he offered enhanced our spiritual experience. Plus, he was just really fun to be with!

The hotel was wonderful—the staff was friendly and always willing to help. Every meal was provided and the food was fantastic. Breakfast was a bountiful spread. Dinners were gourmet and beautifully presented. Lunches were always great. The hotel and Raul and Eduardo always made sure we had plenty of bottled water.

It truly was a wonderful, fun-filled and spiritually-nourishing trip and I highly recommend this pilgrimage and travelling with Catholic Journeys—they are very organized and detail-oriented. Heartfelt thanks to Catholic Journeys for this memorable experience!
