Day 1 Depart New Orleans
Board your overnight transatlantic flights from New Orleans to begin your pilgrimage. Meals are served on board the transatlantic flights.
Day 2 Arrive Dubrovnik
Arrive in Dubrovnik where you will be greeted by your tour guide who will then escort you to the private motorcoach which will then take you to your hotel. While in Dubrovnik, also known as the Pearl of the Adriatic, you will enjoy a walking tour of the Old City. It will begin with Mass at St. Blaise Church, the Patron Saint of Dubrovnik, and continue to see Rector’s Palace, the iconic Bell Tower Clock and Orlando’s Column, the Sponza Palace, the Dominican and Franciscan Monasteries, the latter housing one of the first Pharmacies still in existence. You will also enjoy a boat ride to take in the stunning coastline and visit the Blue Cave, its name is derived from the beautiful blue color caused by sunlight entering the cave and reflecting off the water. Day 3 Dubrovnik – Medjugorje
Today you will reboard your motorcoach and travel along the spectacular coastline, then into the foothills to the village of Medjugorje. Once there you will check in to your family-owned pensione, which will be your “home” for the next 7 nights. Dinner and overnight in Medjugorje.
Day 4 to 9 Medjugorje
During your stay, you will experience the beauty and peace of this simple village, and have the opportunity to share your faith with pilgrims worldwide. Here are some of the activities planned for the week:
Day 10 Medjugorje – Cologne, Germany
After breakfast, you will leave by motor coach for Split Airport for your flight to Frankfurt. Upon arrival, you will be met by your local guide who escort you to your waiting motorcoach and bring you to your hotel in Cologne—dinner and overnight in the area.
Day 11 Cologne and Schoenstatt
Cologne was originally founded and established by the Romans in 50 A.D. When this city received relics of the Three Magi in 1194, it gained importance as a pilgrimage center. These relics are now housed in the magnificent Gothic Cathedral, “the Kolner Dom” where you will have Mass and the opportunity to pray before these sacred gifts. You will also have the opportunity to visit the pilgrimage site dedicated to Our Lady of Schoenstatt, where everyone who “comes home” prepares their own heart for a personal encounter with the Mother Thrice Admirable, Queen and Victress of Schoenstatt. You will visit the original chapel that gave origin to the Schoenstatt Movement, and the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, which was built in honor of the Blessed Sacrament in thanksgiving for protection against the Nazi threat during World War II. Dinner and overnight in the area.
Day 12 Return to USA
After breakfast, you will depart for the Frankfurt Airport and your return flights to New Orleans.
