Medjugorje a 14 Day Journey for the "Triumph of the Cross" with Art & Patsy Soto September 08 - 21, 2010 Proposed Itinerary Day 1 - Depart Las Vegas (or your hometown) on your overnight transatlantic flights with complimentary meals served in-flight.Day 2 - Arrive Medjugorje - After an early morning arrival in Zurich you will connect with flights to Split. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a tour guide and driver who will then take you to the village of Medjugorje. This guide will be with you throughout your stay in Medjugorje. Dinner and overnight in Medjugorje.Days 3 to 12 - Medjugorje - Experience the beauty and peace of this simple village. During your stay in Medjugorje you will have the opportunity to share faith with thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. Our local guide will accompany us throughout the week. Here are some of the activities we’ll be sharing with our fellow pilgrims: Each morning at 10am we assemble at St James Church for the English-language Mass (Feast days and Sundays English Mass is at Noon). Follow the same path up Apparition Hill where the young visionaries first encountered Our Lady. Pray before the shrine and statue of Our Lady Queen of Peace that commemorates the spot where Mary first appeared to the visionaries.Each evening at 5pm or 6pm daylight savings time, we will join the villagers and pilgrims to pray the rosary. The apparition takes place at 5:40pm or 6:40 daylight savings time, and then stay on for Croatian Mass. Don’t miss on Wednesday and Saturdays Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and on Fridays Veneration of the Cross in the Church. Each evening during Croatian Mass, there is the Blessing of the Sick and blessing of the items you have with you. Our guide will arrange meetings with the visionaries at their own homes. We will have the opportunity to climb Krizevac Mountain, where in 1933 the villagers built a 34ft high cross to mark the anniversary of Jesus’ crucifixion. Visit and pray at "Blue Cross", which is a place of great healings and graces- a very special place at the base of Apparition Hill. Day 13 - Dubrovnik- Paris - This morning you will have breakfast and depart for Split where you catch your non-stop flight to Paris. Upon arrival you will check-in to your airport hotel. Dinner will be on your own tonight.Day 14 - Return to USA - This morning you will have time for breakfast before checking in for your transatlantic flight to the USA.
