Fr. Mike Snyder & Fr. Anthony Odiong, Spiritual Directors
June 5 - 16, 2017
Day 1 – New Orleans - Krakow
Depart New Orleans for your connecting flights to Krakow. Dinner and breakfast will be served aboard transatlantic flight.
Day 2 - Krakow
Upon arrival in Krakow Airport you will find your luggage and exit into the arrivals hall where you will meet your tour guide and board your private motorcoach and transfer to your hotel. This evening we celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving followed by dinner and overnight in Krakow.
Day 3 - Krakow – Divine Mercy Shrine
Today we begin by exploring Krakow's Market Square and hear the silver trumpet of the bugler from St. Mary's Tower. We will then tour the Cathedral, containing the extraordinary Wit Stwosz altar, the Coronation Chapel and the Royal Chambers where a superb collection of Arras tapestries are on view. In the after-noon we will visit Lagiewniki, the capital of the Divine Mercy. It was here that the message of the Divine Mercy originated, which Christ Himself wished to pass on to our generation through the mediation of St. Faustina. Here you will see the image of the Merciful Jesus and convent chapel and tomb of St Faustina. We will also visit the newly constructed Shrine of Divinity dedicated by St. John Paul II on his last visit to Poland in 2002 and visit the new center "Have no Fear" where we pray by the relic of St. John Paul II. Return to hotel in Krakow for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – FULL DAY Excursion to Czestochowa - Auschwitz - Wadowice
After breakfast we will travel north to Czestochowa, home of the greatest pilgrimage shrine in Poland. We will have Mass at Jasna Gora Monastery where the Miraculous Icon of the Black Madonna is located, and where St. John Paul II was known to make frequent visits throughout his life. We will view the price-less treasures located in the Museum before traveling to Auschwitz, the notorious Nazi concentration camp where unspeakable atrocities occurred. We will see the cell that imprisoned St. Maximillian Kolbe and the Martyrdom Museum recalling the horrors of the Holocaust. From here we will go to Wadowice, the birthplace of Karol Wojtyla (St. John Paul II) and see the church he attended and in which he was baptized as a child. We will visit his childhood home, now a museum containing relics and artifacts from throughout his life, before returning to Kra-kow for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 - Krakow - Medjugorje
After breakfast, we depart for Krakow Airport for your connecting flights to Croatia. Upon arrival you will find your luggage and exit the baggage claim into the arrivals hall where you will be greeted by your Medjugorje Guide and transferred to the village of Medjugorje. Dinner and overnight in Medjugorje.
Day 6 to 11 - Medjugorje
Over the next five days you will experience the beauty and peace of the simple village of Medjugorje. During your stay you will have the opportunity to share your faith with pilgrims from all over the world. Our local guide will accompany you during you today in Medjugorje to help you understand the history and layout of the village. Our guide will arrange meetings with the visionaries at their own homes, provided that they are in Medjugorje during your trip and pending their availability.
Day 12 - Medjugorje - USA
