Proposed Itinerary

Day 1- USA/LisbonDepart Ft. Lauderdale for overnight flights to Lisbon, Portugal.  Meals are served on board.


Day 2– Lisbon/Santarem/Fatima
- We arrive in Lisbon and meet our tour escort. We will have Mass at the birthplace of St. Anthony of Padua. En route to Fatima, we stop for a visit at the Church of St. Stephen, in Santarem, site of a 13th century Eucharistic Miracle.  We will have time to venerate the bleeding host, before continuing on to Fatima for dinner and overnight.


Day 3– Fatima
- Morning sightseeing tour in Fatima. Visit the Basilica which contains Francesco and Jacinta’s graves, and celebrate Mass at the Little Chapel of the Apparitions. Visit the Hamlet of Aljustrel, where the children lived, and Valinhos, the site of Our Lady’s appearance. Follow the Stations of the Cross along the Via Sacra (The Sacred Way) culminating in the Chapel of Calvary. Participate in the Candlelight procession. Dinner and overnight in Fatima.


Day 4- Fatima/Alba De Tormes/Avila
- Depart for Avila Spain, stopping for a visit at Albe de Tormes, where St. Teresa died in 1582. Inside the Carmelite convent of the Annunciation is the tomb of St. Teresa and her remains. Continue on to Avila for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 5- Avila/Madrid- This morning explore the best-preserved walled city in the world, and home of St. Teresa of Avila who, with her spiritual director St. John of the Cross, reformed the Carmelite Order. We will visit the Carmelite Monastery and celebrate Mass there. Afterward we depart for Madrid where we arrive for an orientation tour of Spain’s capital that will include a visit to the city’s Almudena Cathedral.  Dinner and overnight in Madrid.

 

Day 6- Madrid/Zaragoza/Lourdes- Today we depart Madrid for Lourdes. Along the way stopping in the town of Zaragoza, to visit and have Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, the place where Mary appeared to the Apostle James before her Assumption into heaven. Continue on to Lourdes and participate in this evening’s Candlelight Procession. Dinner and Overnight in Lourdes.

 

Day 7- Lourdes- This morning we awake in Lourdes where, in 1858, Mary appeared to a young Bernadette Soubirous. We visit the Grotto, the Spring and the healing Baths, as well as the underground Basilica of St. Pius X, the Rosary Basilica and Bernadette’s home. Enjoy another opportunity to join in the evening’s Candlelight Procession. Dinner and Overnight in Lourdes.

 

Day 8- Lourdes/Tours- Grotto of Lourdes. Depart Lourdes for Tours, where we will see the Basilica of Saint Martin as well as the Cathedral of St. Gatien. Visit the Oratory of the Holy Face and the home of venerable Leo DuPont who dedicated his life in Tours to promoting devotion to the Holy Face. Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 9 - Tours/Lisieux/Paris- This morning we depart for and arrive in Lisieux, home of St. Therese, the Carmelite nun and  newest Doctor of the Church. Visit the Carmelite Convent Chapel where St. Therese and her parents are entombed. Celebrate Mass at the Basilica before departing for Paris. Upon  arrival in Paris, we will tour  the “City of Lights” at night to include the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Elysees.  Dinner and overnight in Paris. 

 

Day 10- Nevers- After breakfast we depart for a full day excursion to Nevers. After taking the veil in 1867, St Bernadette lived for 12 years as a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Nevers. Have Mass and see St Bernadette's incorrupt body. Return to Paris for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 11- Paris- This morning we visit Rue de Bac and have mass at the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal, where St. Catherine Laboure received her apparitions of Mary. Next we visit the cathedral of Notre-Dame, and then head to Montmartre. Visit Sacre Coeur Basilica. Enjoy some free time to shop before dinner and overnight in Paris. 

 

Day 12- Paris/USA- After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for our return flight back home.
